Sunshine at Sunnyfields

Now we're officially members of Hampshire Fare we made sure we had our snazzy sign up on our stall at the Sunnyfields Farmers Market this Saturday...

There was actually some proper springy sunshine so plenty of people popped by for a yummy chocolate cupcake or a slice of our covetable carrot cake...

...there were even people bravely sitting outside, coiffing coffee so it was lucky we had plenty of tasty snack solutions to keep everyone's energy levels up...

Cupcake Dolly to Excell

This week we made some special cakes for our new friends at Little Media who make the gorgeously glossy Baby Hampshire, Baby Surrey and Baby London magazines. They've got a stand at the big Baby Show at the Excell Centre in London this weekend, and they'll be handing out 400 of our mini samples to prospective magazine readers throughout the 3 day event. Hopefully our special themed stand will add that extra something to their display.

Romance is not dead...

...at least it certainly wasn't for the lovely people braving the Siberian winds at Sunnyfields farmers market yesterday. Jo arrived armed with a whopping selection of loved up goodies and gorgeous valentines gift boxes and sold the lot so there'll be some serious schmoozing going on today as a result, and hopefully some very happy cupcake recipients. Happy Valentines Day. x

Radio Dolly

Yesterday afternoon we made our first radio appearance (in spirit if not in body). On Katie Martin's show on Radio Solent there was a chat about the Business Link/SEEDA project focusing on packaging efficiency and sustainability which we're involved with - and we were one of the case studies they talked about. With the help of the lovely Laurel from a.m.associates, we're developing some superb new boxes for our cupcakes so they'll always be delivered in tip-top condition, and we'll be doing our bit to reduce packaging waste too.

A bit of a mystery

Just for fun we run a monthly competition from our website to win a box of our cupcakes. Usually we have a good handful of hungry entrants but in the last couple of days we've had an onslaught of a couple of hundred. That's good news for us, but does lessen the likelihood for competition hopefuls we're afraid so we'll make sure we keep popping you back into the hat for the rest of the year.

PS. If anyone can shed any light on why we've suddenly attracted so much attention (we're usually pretty switched on about this sort of stuff but we're flummoxed this time) we'd love to know where you've heard about us...
