Model behaviour...

Last week our friends at 'The Other Duckling' made the most of the sunshiny weather and stepped outside to photograph some of their lovely springy products. Our cupcakes starred in their shoot, beautifully co-ordinating with some cute flamingo napkins and a gorgeous tea cosy. We love the cakestand too.

Wonderful wedding fair

We had a lovely time at the Swanmore wedding fair, meeting lots of fabulous brides and enjoying the gorgeous spring sunshine.

We had a great little corner of the marquee for our stand...

Our cupcake tower attracted a lot of interest...

We had a snazzy pinboard to show what we can do...

...and the cupcakes looked (and tasted) yummy...

All in all a wonderful day was had by all.

The Hampshire Wedding Fair, this weekend

We'll be at the Hampshire Wedding Fair again this year (can't wait!). It's at Swanmore Church in the middle of Swanmore, and we'll have an ace cupcake tower and plenty of yummy tasters. We'd love to see you there... (it's this Saturday 17th April between 11am and 4pm)

Cupcake competition record...

We had a record number of entries into our February 'win cupcakes' competition. A whopping 245 to be exact, which compared to our usual 20 or so is indeed a miracle. For this, in part, we thank the Dorset Cereals 'Little Blog Awards' which we've been lucky enough to feature in (a point we're particularly pleased about because we LOVE all things Dorset, even though we never win their pesky 'Spin the Bottle' prize, however hard we try...) We did pick some extra names out of our full-to bursting hat this time around, so hopefully there'll be plenty of happy recipients this month. Thanks to everyone who entered. x

Richard saves the day

This week has been pretty busy and Jo (one half of the Dollies) has been a bit poorly to boot. Her wonderful hubby Richard (our guru of all things technical) gallantly stepped in today to man our stand at Sunnyfields and give Jo a chance to chill out. No doubt Richard was his smooth charming self, and on reflection we may even recruit him for a bit more market action in the future...

Spring snowdrops

A couple of weeks ago we made these cakes to celebrate the onset of spring and the snowdrop week at The Long Barn in Alresford. It's a gorgeous place to visit - and we can't wait to see the lavender in full bloom there later on in the year.
