Weddings the Wiltshire way...

We're looking forward to taking part in the Wiltshire wedding show on the 10th October. It's at Salisbury town hall and promises to have exhibitors to suit every style of wedding and every budding brides requirements. We'll have plenty of mini cupcakes to try too so you can keep your energy levels up - hopefully we'll see you there.

We're off to the theatre...

...well, the theatre bar at any rate. On Monday 27th September we'll be sampling and selling cupcakes at the gorgeous Eastleigh Point as part of their new menu launch. It'll be just like a mini food festival with plenty to eat and drink as well as being a good opportunity to have a nose around the beautiful building and get up to speed with all the fab stuff that happens there.

Up the garden path

We've been a bit unimpressed with the lack of summer lately but these cupcakes cheered us up a lot. Plenty of delicious chocolateyness and some gorgeously summery flowers, butterflies and bees... perfect even if you have to eat them indoors in your cardie with a nice hot cuppa...

Fancy a Dolly's shortcake or two?

We've been following the gossip about what's new in the world of cake since we set up Cupcake Dolly and seen the rise and rise of cupcakes, the rise and fall of macaroons and now it seems Whoopie pies are all the rage. We've sampled a good few Whoopie pies (for research purposes of course) but have been a little bit disappointed so we've invented our own version. Just as cute and much more yummy (we think anyway)... we present delicious Dolly's Shortcakes, available to order for parties and presents now.

Wedding season is in full swing...

Our blog has been a little quiet lately. That's partly due to the arrival of a small new member of the Cupcake Dolly team (welcome, baby Iris) and partly because we've been busy baking like mad for some lovely people's weddings...

One of our favourites was the giraffe themed wedding at Marwell, with scrummy chocolate and fudge cupcakes...

...and a fabulous giraffe print topper for the cupcake tower with a lovely chocolatey ribbon.

We've done 'pretty in pink...

...for a special day at Portsmouth Football club.

We've made cats and cars and lovely lilac hearts for a gorgous wedding in Wickham.

...And we've helped a few hen doos to go with a swing along the way.

Congratulations to all the lovely brides (and grooms) we've met so far and good luck to those who are still planning.

Cupcake Dolly on Radio Solent

Erica popped along to BBC Radio Solent today to chat about cupcakes with Katie Martin. The hot topic was 'Junior Apprentice', and how the young upstarts got on with their cupcake challenge, which certainly made entertaining viewing last night.
